Sexton, b. in Oneida County, NY, abt. 1863, and his wife, Maria C. (Kate) Simmons, b. abt. 1869 in Cedar Co., IA. The couple was married in Greene County, IA, 24 Oct. 1889. They moved to Carroll County shortly thereafter where Stephen was a blacksmith. Kate died there in 1947. I am trying to trace the ancestors of Maria C. (Kate) Simmons Sexton through her mother's Bishop line. I am also looking for information about Stephen and Kate's family and descendants. Thank you.
