How wonderful to hear from you. I am glad my research helped. We started our family research mid 1970's and have always enjoyed it. Yes I would love copies of any family photos. I don't have the information with me right now, but I believe we may also be related thru the Beyerink family? Clara Hoffman married George Stangl? Elizabeth Hoffman married Al Stangl? Both George and Al were sons of Jacob Stangl and Johanna Beyerink? I have a photo of Joseph Hoffman and Mary Hoffman if you are interested. They are about early 60's.

My gr-gr-grandmother was Katherine Mary Korwes, daughter of Henry Korwes and Mary Stevens (perhaps Rosina Maria?). Katherine married Heinrich Herman Lohmann and lived in the Dedham, Iowa area. Both are buried in Dedham cemetery. Katherine and Henry have one daughter still living, Mary Soppe, and most of the information I have has come from her. Any information on other siblings would be greatly appreciated.

Emma Zella was living in Jasper I think Emma Zella gave birth later in 1880 to another son, Lewis. I would also be interested in the dates and place (probably Carroll Co.) of the two sons as well as the date and place of Emma Zella's remarriage to John Tilley and the date and place of Emma Zella's death.

They lived in Glidden, Carroll, IA in the late 1880's to about 1900. The family were William Morgan Paul farmer and school teacher, his wife Samantha Stuter Paul, children Lillian Paul, Etta Paul, Walter Paul and Emory Paul. Also there was an Uncle in the area Jacob Monroe Paul maybe called Monroe or Roe for short. Thanks so much and if I can repay the favor I do look-ups for Morgan County Mo cemeteries, 1850 Morgan Co, MO census and some cemeteries in Fairfild Co, Oh. I also have the 1880 census for the US, so maybe we can trade info. Regards, Bonnie Morris Conrad Houston, Texas
Finally found a Site Search engine with which I am comfortable. It is now installed on the front page of the Carroll Co GenWeb Site - please try it out. Let me know of any problems. Thank you - and happy searching! Bill Smith, County Coordinator
