I have census info. Need: Marriage info for daughters and William remarried "Anne", also death and burial info for William. " Nancy, it is always helpful to provide a time frame in your queries. I find the family you're researching in the 1910 census for Lake Ward 3, Calhoun County, IA, which provided birth year estimates. The 1900 census suggests that the father may also be found as Ernest William, and that the youngest daughter may also be found as Maud L. The 1925 IA State Census shows a Leona PFAFF (residing in Wahkonsa, Webster County; husband OC) who listed her parents as Earnest SCOTT and Minnie LOTT, all born in IL. This looks like a match. By 1930, the Otto C. PFAFF family is living in Fort Dodge. The SSDI shows the following possible matches: Otto Pfaff 11 Apr 1889 Dec 1968 Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa Leona Pfaff 23 Oct 1892 Dec 1987 Glencoe, Cook, Illinois (SSN issued in IA). Leona & Otto's children were listed in 1930 as Scott, Robert, and Stuart. I believe the following may be an obituary for Scott's wife. You may be able to locate Scott or one of his children. Gazette, The (Colorado Springs, CO) - October 16, 2005 Deceased Name: LOUISE PFAFF Born Feb. 6, 1921. Died Oct. 14, 2005. Retired, 54-year Colorado Springs resident. 1. [IACALHOU] Need Obituary for George Carver d. 1907
    2. Teresa Ann Davis
    3. To some kind soul, George L. Carver's GGgranddaughter sent me a transcription of his obituary. She said that a couple of lines is missing from the middle of it as it spanned two columns and the top of the second column was cut off. Is there anyone that has access to the 1907 newspapers that could help us out with the missing lines? I would be glad to pay any expenses. If possible I would also like a photo copy of the newspaper but would be happy if someone could tell us what the missing lines are. Here is the paragraph which she sent that contains the missing lines, the obit was in the Manson newspaper. The funeral services were held at the opera house at 2:30 o'clock Sunday and all were in the charge of the Masonic lodge of Manson, of which he had been a member for 28 years. Short services were held at his late home, and the body was then taken to the opera house escorted by members of . [the article is missing text, this line ended at the bottom of the newspaper column and resumed at the top of the next column. It appears some text was cut-off at the top of the next column because if you look closely at the actual document partial letters appear above the first readable line] .[de]livered by Rev. Brown. It was touching, eloquent, impressive, winding up with a strong appeal to the old friends of Mr. Carver to accept the hand of Christ who alone can wash away all sin. The house was packed with friends of the deceased. Thank you for any assistance or advice to help us. Teresa

Alfred was on the drive to get Rural Electric Cooperative started in Lake Creek township and also was a township comitteeman when the AAA farm program started. They were very active members of the Sherwood Presbyterian Church until it closed and they transferred their membership to Rockwell City. Their children all attended country school at Lake Creek Number Three and graduated from the Rockwell City HS. Alfred and Kate lost two children in tragic accidents. Doris died of a cerebral hemorrage after falling from a gate at the country school when twelve years old. I already known about Charles's family of origin and I have some federal census records, but I do not know much about what happens to the family after 1930 nor about Delephine's family of origin. Charles is my great grand uncle. Ian Brown Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
