I have Rodgers (with a "D") ancestry, and quite a bit of the family genealogy, but I'm not aware of any of them in Black Hawk County, Iowa. If you could check out the 1860 census of Blakesville, and maybe discover the parents' names, I'd be happy to see if they connect. Mine were Presbyterian/Irish from the area of Shippensburg, PA, descendants of a William Rodgers (b. abt 1700), from County Derry according to legend.
