I live across the country, so I can either write for the records or send my reluctant mother (who lives an hour from Waterloo) to the courthouse. Would she be able to get them right away or have to return? Could she copy them herself, saving expenses? One of the probate files could be quite large. I'm not sure how this works, so advice is greatfully accepted! Thanks.
