Dear List Members, My name is Kathleen Burnett and I am your new List Mom. I want to take a moment and let you know who I am and a little about myself, and how I work as a Mailing List Mom. I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 10. I work outside of my home during the day. I am also a List Mom to several other mailing lists. I am actively involved in the genealogical research of my ancestors, many who migrated to and through Iowa I am a hands on List Mom, meaning I keep track of what is going on with the mailing lists I watch over and if you are ever in need of me during the day, while I am at work, you can reach me at KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net. My goal for your list is to keep it a safe place for you to research, post and share information regarding your ancestors of Black Hawk Co., IA. Safe meaning a place you are not subjected to postings other than postings related to Black Hawk County. I have very few rules for the lists I watch over. The main one is to treat your fellow members as you would like to be treated. Also, the posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale and Flames, etc (in other words - SPAM) is not allowed and will be grounds for removal. Consideration for exceptions, contact me personally. I personally do not like Roll Calls, but if you the list members do, please contact me and I will call one for you, ALWAYS with a published beginning date and ending date. There is a great Rootsweb site, Password Central where you can go if you would like to find out what Rootsweb lists you are a member of..or..you need to unsubscribe from a list or several lists.
