I was on the list a few years back when I was on AOL and received some wonderful information! Since then I have found many more connections I am hoping someone can help me with. The ones I knew of before were Samuel and Elizabeth Owens. He was an attorney as was his son, Madison. They lived in Waterloo several years before going on to CA in about 1888. A son, Levi, "Lee" married a local girl and died about the time the others went on to CA. His wife's name was Erminnie according to the census and since their married life before he passed away was between censuses, I have no idea if there were children but I believe they would have remained in Waterloo if there had been. Does anyone have any idea how I might find this out? Samuel had a son, John, as well that married a local women and I believe they stayed behind in Waterloo as well until after their children were raised at least. Next are my Evans' John Owens Evans was Samuel's nephew. His wife was Rebecca. They lived in East Waterloo/Evansdale, died nearly the turn of the century and are buried in the Fairview Cemetery, according to the information I have. Their children were: Josephine Evans Shoemaker Updegnall, Kate/Mary Catherine Clossen, Dora/ Ellen Eldora Partridge, John Grant, William Thomas (a judge and may have an attorney son in the area?), and Elmer Lee/Levi Elmer. Last (as of this moment!) are my Murrays. I have a line of my great grandfather's brother that moved to the Waterloo area. His name was Arthur. He died in 1965. I don't have his wife's name. If you need more information, please let me know. I may or may not have more but I know it just takes one "clue" sometimes! Thanks in advance for any help and/or suggestions anyone may have!
