    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Vk.2ADE/617.2.1 Message Board Post: Hello, I know this post from you was a few years ago, but I was wondering what information you may have on John Christian Belmer b.1828? He is also my ggggrandfather. His daughter, Henrietta Matilda married a man by the name of Frederick D Smith and they had Ellen, Henry, Rosena, Lee, Emma, Carl, Fred and George. (as far as I can decifer, but nothing seems cohesive) I do know Carl is my ggrandfather. I have a copy of the obituary for Henrietta from the Oelwein Register stating that she died Feb 23, 1910 leaving behind three sons, Henry, Carl and Fred...no idea about the other children. States her parents were Mr and Mrs J.C. Bellmer ( Adelheit Bellmer) John Christian Bellmer born 1828, died 13 Jun 1901 Civil War veteran. I would truly appreciate any information you would be willing to share. Tracy Kellums

    3. Hello Tracy: Perhaps you were answering my husband's posting of a year or so ago. I'll do my best to help you out here as I am the diehard genealogist and he's the part-timer. We do have a copy of the Dunkerton Cemetary list which lists all the Bellmers for several generations and their attendant relatives. If you wish I can make a copy of certain pages and forward them to you. My husband: Jerry D. Childs, is also a descendant of John C. Bellmer of Dunkerton. This is Jerry's Bellmer line as I know it: (per the Cemetary list and info therein.) *John C. Bellemer (wife Adelheit Gerken) *Charles Dage (m1- unknown, m2 -Mabel Clubine of Dunkerton) *Harold E. (m. Erma Neola Goff) * Blanche (Bellmer) Childs-Marona (Living, age 84) b. Dunkerton, lived Dike, Iowa and now Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. (Her sister and brother are also still living.) * Jerry Duane Childs, (m2- Sandra (McKinder) McTigue-Childs. Living in LaCrescenta, CA. (We can be reached at jschilds@pacbell.net ) Jerry's mother: Blanche (Bellmer) Childs/Marona, is still living and is quite a sharp lady. She no doubt will answer any questions, just let me know. I will contact her for you and get back to you. It's been my experience that she first says she doesn't remember this or that about the history of her family, but then when you say "who's this" or "when did you do that" she comes up with the answers. She a nice talkative lady.
