Nanke (1917 - 2005) Waterloo - June E. Nanke, 87, of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 1, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center from complications of diabetes. She was born Oct. 18, 1917, in Eldora, daughter of Clarence and Emma Teske Crosser. She married Howard H. Nanke on Sept. 23, 1950, in Eldora. He died July 7, 1999. Survivors include: three stepsons, Loren (Marg) Nanke of Florida, Lawrence (Lois) Nanke of Waterloo and Ronald Nanke; a stepdaughter, Deloris (Chuck) Christensen of Hudson; two nieces, Dianne (Jim) Marovets and Debbie Clemons, both of Waterloo; a nephew, Roger (Vicki) Clemons of Waterloo; five great-nephews, Chad, Randy and Ronald Marovets, and Brian and Brent Clemons; a great niece, Tammy Marovets; 13 stepgrandchildren and 27 stepgreat-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a brother, Jack Crosser; and three sisters, Betty Jones, Mary Clemons, and Helen Bogue. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
