Nanke, 72, of 424 Home Park Blvd., will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Nanke died Friday night at Northern Michigan Medical Center while vacationing in Michigan. He was born March 1, 1910, at What Cheer, son of Ernest and Lottie Humes Nanke. He married Edythe Freburg May 30, 1936, at Burlington. He worked at the John Deere Tractor Works for 45 years and retired in 1972 as cashier and secretary of the pension board. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Craig of Battle Creek, Mich., and Trent of Naperville, Ill.; three brothers, Frank of 816 State St., Cedar Falls, Fred of 723 Grant St., Cedar Falls, and Howard of 651 Dawson St.; and a sister, Doris Jones of Cleghorn. Friends may call at Locke Funeral Home ater 4 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the church.
