Nanke, 90, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 7, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes. He was born Oct. 4, 1908, in What Cheer, son of Ernest and Lottie Humes Nanke. He married Pauline Kroll on June 27, 1931, in Egg Harbor, Wis., and later divorced. He then married June E. Crosser on Sept. 23, 1950, in Eldora. Survived by: his wife; a daughter, Deloris Petersen of Hudson; three sons, Lawrence of Waterloo, Loren and Ronald, both of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Jones of Cleghorn. Preceded in death by: a sister, Clarice Nanke; and four brothers, Dick, Frank, Fred, and Warren. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and for an hour before services Monday at the chapel. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
