Hoping for info on Allan McDOUGALL's parents and siblings from Ontario, CAN, Niagara (NY & ONT) area. The furthest I can go back is; 1. Allan McDougall (searching for parents & siblings); born; c1782 in either ?Scotland or Canada? died; (possible 1824-43?) M'd; Dec1801 in Niagara District, Ontario, Canada (St.Mary's church) to; Fredericka Weitzel (born; c1782, death unknown, parents were;Nicolaus WEITZEL & Elizabeth KLINE, other child , [sister to Frederica] a Mary- born;4Aug1781 Kingston, ONt., Can. Mary m'd a Joshua POLLARD. Mary died;10Mar1823Clarkston, ONT). they (Allan & Frederica) issued one known child (my decendant); 2. Dougall McDougall ( Pvt.in Civil War-IA) born;c1808 either; Niagara CO, NY or Canada died; 07Sep1891 Arlington, IA bur; Taylorsville Cem., Arlington, IA M'd (#1 of 2); prior to 1839 (from census) To; Amanda (Sears or Pratt) we can not find an Amanda SEARS born;11feb1824 VT died; 02Jul1878 Emmet CO., MI buried; Pleasant View Twp cem, Emmet Co., MI this family (Dougal & Amanda moved from Ont.>NY1840 in Buffalo [Niagara CO & ErieCO]>PA 1850 Allegany CO> Fayette CO, IA> MI, Emmet & GTraverse COin 1780's) following births, deaths & census records. Dougall & Amanda McDOUGALL issued 5 children from this marriage; A.Livona b.26Apr1840 Buffalo, NY. she m'd H.Powers (IA), d.July1908 Oelwin, IA. B.Elizabeth b.Aug1842 ONT, Can. D.June 1934Antrim CO, MI. M'd JW Barnes(IA). C.Catherine b.1844-5 Can., d.c1862 IA, M'd M Powers (IA). no other info 3. D.William Allen (my decendant); born;May1852, PA, Allegany CO. died; c1921 IL, his wife (#5) did not know he died, his was visting his daughter Maude A. Fitzgerald in either Coles or Edgar CO., IL). We find five mar. for Wm A McDougall, no divorces YET! His 4th and final 5th mar. are relavent to my research. wife #4 was; Caroline "Carrie" Clark-Rullison, m'd Apr1884 in Independence CO., IA. Carrie born;Feb1850 Glenrich, NY, died; Jul1904 Fayette CO.,IA 4. Fanny J. McDougall; born.1854 PA died;? m'd a Cha. Munger (IA, fayette CO, 1872) no other info 3 issues from this mar; Maude Amanda McDougall (my decendant) b. Oct1885 Waterloo, IA died; Feb1940 GT CO., MI m'd to; John Oscar Fitzgerald on Apr1903 in Bismark, ND. So, searching in NY, PA, ONT, IA, &MI for McDOUGALL, WEITZEL's. *I am hoping ot find info about Allan McDougall, his parents, and his siblings. I have misc. info for McDougall's (possible relation) in Lockport, Lewiston, and Niagara, NY. -Allan & Dougal were coopers by trade. -Allan land purchase July1803.
