They immigrated approximately 1851 settling in St. Louis. My grandfather was born in St Louis before Gottlieb and his wife Theresa (von Orff) moved and settled in Alma, Kansas as the town was being built. G's brother Leonhard Zwanziger was also in St. Louis and moved to Alma, Kansas. I would like information about others in the Iowa and Missouri who might be related. Marjorie

    3. Have you tried the Northeast Genealogical Society located in the library at Waterloo. These County genealogical societies really have loads of info that cannot be found elsewhere. Records on schools, business directories, church memberships, cemetary internship, funeral home records, and military lists -- are just some of the things they do. Good hunting.
