    3. Hello ALL, Here is everything I currently know about "my" elusive Jesse DAVAR. I hope if someone else has information not here that they will share it with me. More, I hope someone will be able to identify some relationships with other surnames. It seems that (like many early families) the DAVAR family can be found "near" or "with" families of the same (similar) surname in several locations throught the years. Possibly related surnames are: AUSMUS FUGATE HUNTER Other surnames are listed with their DAVAR spouse, below. She said Jesse had served in Capt Henry HUNTER's Co TN Mil. Residence Claiborne County, Tennessee (bet 1817 and 1821) Census 1840 in Monroe County, Indiana Land Records Monroe County, Indiana (abt. 1840 to 1860 est.) Regarding Jessie's land purchases: they ring the property of John Tate, with purchase dates about the same time. All of the purchases of John and Jessie are roughly in the same three sections of the same township. His name is given as Jesse Davers in the 1840 census. His name is given as Jesse Davar in the 1850 census. August 1867 probate records give his name as JESSE DAVER.
