He was born in Clayton county on January 29, 1876, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joachim Harnack. His wife is the former Lena Warnholtz of this community, who with their daughter, Mrs Oliver Hermeier of Waukon survives him. Funeral services will be conducted at the church in Waukon on Friday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock and at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Postville at 2:30 o'clock the same afternoon.
