Fischer, 79, of Janesville, Wis., and formerly of Castalia, Ia., died Monday in Mercy Hospital, Janesville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Schutte Funeral Home at Postville, where friends may call. Burial will be in the Postville Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Elsie; a son, Kenneth of Janesville; a brother, Henry of Luana, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Lundt of Oelwein, Ia., and three grandchildren. Either a Postville Herald or Dubuque Telegraph Herald newspaper clipping, hand dated 1972, from my mother's obituary collection.
