Lenwood Monte officiating. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery. Adelia Pauline Bareis, daughter of C. William and Anna Ruckdaschel Dickman, was born on a farm in Garnavillo Township, Clayton County, Iowa, April 8, 1890, and passed away at the Community Memorial Postville, March 15, 1969. Mrs. Bareis received her education at the Dawson school located in Garnavillo Township. On January 25, 1922 she was married to John Bareis. To this union was born three children: Willard and Arthur of Postville and Marjorie (Mrs. Fred Miller) of Waukon. She is survived by her three children, four grandchildren, two sisters, Amanda Dickman and Malinda Dickman both of Monona and two brothers, Ervin of Postville and Othmar of Monona. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, November 8, 1952 and one sister, Louise (Mrs. Harvey Wirkler) of Garnavillo. Postville Herald newspaper clipping from my mother's obituary collection.
