FRED LUEBKE Whos maiden name was Gravit, was born in Old Konslin, Germany, May 15, 1887, and died at her home about four miles northwest of Postville at five o'clock Friday morning, March 21, 1913, aged 75 years, 10 months and six days. In 1863 she was married to Fred Luebke and to this union were born five children, three of whom are dead. In 1866 she and her husband emigrated to America, settling first near Middleton, Wis., and in 1876 moved to this vicinity. She was a hard working woman, her life being one of labor and of sorrow, and we hope that now she is partaking of the joys of paradise. She is survived by her husband, two sons -- Carl and Louis -- and their families, a brother-in-law, friends and neighbors, and may God comfort them all. The funeral was held from the Lutheran church at 1:30 Monday afternoon, Rev. Kuehne officiating. Interment in the Postville cemetery.
