--Allamakee Co. Listers -- Effective immediately, the official message/query boards for Allamakee Co. will be the IAGen Boards. http://www.rootsweb.com/~iaallama/boards.htm We are making this move in anticipation of a future mandate from the IAGenWeb & hope that everyone will begin to use the new boards immediately. The IAGen boards will always be free to use -- we don't know if the same can be said for the GenConnect boards. Many Iowa county web-sites are using the new boards and report that the users are pleased with them once they get used to using them. You can also request that any posting you made to the GenConnect boards be reposted on the new board. To do this -- send an email to Sharyl. I urge all of you to take a look at the new boards -- and above all -- to start using them for all queries and obituaries. As before, bios, obits & records can also be sent to either Suzann or I for on-site posting on the Allamakee Co. website, the new boards do not change that.
