The Rev. Edmund DeBuhr will officiate. Burial follows in the nearby cemetery. Born at Manitowoc, Wis., July 6, 1869, he came to Allamakee county when fifteen years of age and was employed on the Henry Hager farm in Ludlow. Later he purchased a farm in that vivinity but gave up the active duties of life several years ago and purchased property on West Main street where his death occurred Wednesday afternoon, following four months lillness. He was married three times, his first wife being Lydia Rechtumeier, who was the mother of two children, Arthur Grotegut and Mrs. John Ehde of Waukon. Helen Stock was the second Mrs. Grotegut and to this union was born Mrs. Arthur Flage of Waukon. On September 24, 1937, his marriage to Mrs. Lydia Becker took place. She survives with the above named children. Also two sisters, Mrs. Fred Bechtel and Mrs. Lydia Thomae of Waukon. There are twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
