Many of you may not know, but today is the 6th birthday of the IAGenWeb. Allamakee Co. was among the early counties represented. I'd like to take this opportunity to applaud Roxanne Barth, the first CC of Allamakee Co. Roxanne was our CC from 1-20-1996 until the spring of 2001. She and her small group of volunteers toiled over their keyboards & "dug the basement, laid the foundation, framed the walls and added the roof" to the virtual genealogy library that is the Allamakee Co. website today. Today, as we continue to fill the bookshelves and build new rooms in Allamakee -- I want to thank Roxanne & her hearty band of volunteers for their hard work & dedication to a vision that continues to grow!!
