    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Hager, Nolting, Cooper Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Tk.2ADE/2382 Message Board Post: Ludlow Young Man Dies At Rochester Hospital The sad news was received here Saturday of the death of Milton Nolting, 16, who died at 8:30 that morning at St. Mary's hospital, Rochester, from meningitis of the brain. He had been ill six weeks and was a patient for a week at the local hospital, was then taken to a La Crosse hospital and later to Rochester. Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nolting of Ludlow township, where he was born May 31, 1919. He attended the rural schools and last year entered the Waukon public schools, where he was a member of the sophomore class this year. Besides his parents he is survived by four brothers and a sister, Reuben, Union Prairie township; Martin, Waukon; Otto, Jefferson, and Melvin and Florence at home. He was a bright, energetic young man, who will not only be sadly missed by his loved ones, but his classmates will miss his cherry greeting and jovial manner. The bereaved ones have the deep sympanthy of all in their great sorrow. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Zion Reformed church conducted by the pastor, Rev. F. E. Stucki. The remains were carried to their last resting place in Oakland cemetery by six of his classmates, namely: John Gundacker, Kermit Kirkeby, David Opfer, Sidney Sanderman, John Seibert and Curtis Pigett. Submitter's note: I don't know if this is from the Waukon or Postville newspaper. No death date is given in the obituary and the collector did not hand date them. Maybe a Nolting researcher would be kind enough to post the death date.
