Surnames: Baltz Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Tk.2ADE/2412 Message Board Post: Castalia, Iowa (From the Postville Herald) Young Castalia Lady Passes On Suddenly The community was shocked and deeply grieved to learn of the death of Delores Baltz, a twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baltz on Saturday, March 14th, death being due to pneumonia. Delores was born at Postville, Iowa, May 29, 1920. She grew to young womanhood in this community and was confirmed in the Zion Lutheran church here in 1934 by Rev. C.A. Schmidt. She attended the high school here and endeared herself to her schoolmates and all who knew her by her kind deeds and loving disposition. She was a member of the 4-H Club and took an active interesting the work. Delores is survived by her grief-stricken parents, two sisters, Doris, her twin, and Charleen, besides a number of other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. Striepe officiating. Burial was made in the Postville Cemetery.
