The Rev. Julius Peters officiated. Schutte Funeral Service, Postville, was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery. Sadie I. Heins, daughter of Adolph and Ida (Holien) Gullickson, was born June 24, 1914 in Springfield Township, Winneshiek County. She died Tuesday, July 28,1987 in Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, WI. She was baptized and confirmed at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Decorah. She attended the rural Lee School and graduated from the Ossian High School in1933. June 20,1940, she married Elmer R. Heins at the Washington Prairie Lutheran parsonage. They have lived in Postville all of their lives. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Norman A. Gullickson of Madison,WI. Surviving are her husband, Elmer, 3 brothers, Glen and his wife, Mabel and Walter, all of Ossian, and Howard and his wife, Hazel, of Decorah, a sister Dorothy and her husband Gordon Arness of Hopkins, MN, and a sister-in-law, Helen Gullickson of Madison, WI. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and many friends. Sadie was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. Casket bearers: Darryl Gullickson, Duane Gullickson, Lyle Gullickson, Donald Gullickson, Bruce Gullickson, James Arness and David Gullickson.
