The Rev. Lenwood Monte was in charge of the rites. Lloyd Carl Meyer, son of William H. Meyer and Minnie Ehde, was born in Fayette county, Iowa, August 28, 1916, and passed away March 20, 1968 at his home in Postville, at the age of 51 years. He received his education in the rural schools of Fayette county and became an automobile mechanic, being employed at this work until the time of his death. On August 8, 1945, he was united in marriage to Maxine Hunsberger of Elgin. He is survived by his wife Maxine, sons Bruce of Decorah, Burton, Russell, Roger, and daughter Beverly at home. He is also survived by two brothers, Harvey of Clermont, Gilbert of Postville; and three sisters, Mrs. Richard Ihde of Decorah, Mrs. Eldo Sander of Postville, and Mrs. Cloy Miller of Clermont.
