The Rev. Gary Hunstad of First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, IA officiated. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Clara Marie Meyer, daughter of Fred and Louise (Meyer) Kamp, was born March 13, 1898 at Postville, IA. She died August 16, 1983 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Ia. She had been a resident of the Cedar Rapids Care Center for the past six years. On June 4, 1898 she was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville and confirmed there on March 16, 1913. She attended a rural school near Postville. Clara was married to Edmund Meyer on January 14, 1919 at Postville. To this union two daughters were born. They lived in the Postville and Waukon area until the early 1950's when they moved to Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who died November 17, 1965, two brothers, William and Louis Kamp, and a sister, Ella Schultz. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Duwe of Luana and Mrs. Darlene Gatto of Cedar Rapids, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ruby Doane of Ossian, IA.
