My ancestor, Hans A. Hanson, emigrated from the Jevnaker, Oppland area of Norway to Iowa in 1851. His obituary says he emigrated with his parents, Hans and Siri Hansen, to Winnisheik Co. then moved to Allamakee Co. in 1854. I have been able to find no evidence of Hans Sr and Siri in America or in the exit records in Norway. They would have been in their late 40s in 1851. Has anyone see them in their research?

My grandmother was Lillian Marcella Hanson, born in 1916 in Fayette County, I show her parents as Peter Hanson and Alta Lee.. but have no information on them..
