This is a re-post of a message sent almost 24 hours ago but which is still wandering around out there somewhere in cyberspace. If you receive both you will note that this one is the "revised" edition. (Note: if you will click and enlarge to full screen you will find it much easier to read.) I have found the following record (Germans to America: Lists of passengers arriving at U. S. Ports /edited by Ira A. Glazier & P. William Filby, v 22): Ship: Hansa From: Bremen To: New York Arrived: 03 April 1869 And on the very long passenger list the following names were grouped together as follows: Hansemeier, Friedr. 35 M Farmer *1 Wilhelmine 30 F Unknown *2 Friedr. 8 M Child *3 Simon .04 M Infant *4 Simon 33 M Unknown *5 Stock, Friedr. 17 M Farmer *6 Hansemeier, Frdke 20 F Unknown *7 Strate, Heinr. 18 M Farmer *8 Krueger, Conrad 18 M Farmer *9 All of these seem to have Allamakee connections... as all were apparently ultimately buried in Allamakee or Winneshiek Co, IA. I have added the above *'s followed by numbers... and the following related footnotes: *1 Oakland Cem-German - Hansmeier, Frederick L - 1834/03/07 *2 Oakland Cem-German - Hansmeier, Wilhelmina C - 1837/09/22 *3 Oakland Cem-German - Hansmeier, Fred S - 1860/06/13 *4 Oakland Cem-German - Hansmeier, Simon Frederick - 1868/09/26 *5 Oakland Cem-German - Hansmeier, Simon - 1836/09 *6 Zalmona Cem - Stock, Fred - 1850/12/25 (1851?... and may actually be buried in Frankville Cem) *7 Oakland Cem-German - Hansmeier, Fredericka Dorthea (Mrs S H Opfer) - 1848/10/10 *8 Ebenezer Cem - Straate, Henry - 1850/10/11 *9 Zalmona Cem - Krueger, Conrad - 1850/01/24 (1851?) (The above cemetery records were found on the Allamakee genweb site... so a special thanks to the provider.) I have also found (on internet at local library): Immigrant: Stock, Friedrich Heinrich Anton Location: Iowa Year: 1869 Publication: Verdenhalven, Fritz, Die Auswanderer aus dem Fuerstentum Lippe (bis 1877). Page number: 109 Document Type: Immigrant Record Source: Passenger and Immigrations Lists Index ... and: Immigrant: Stock, Friedrich Age: 17 Location: America Year: 1869 Publication: Verdenhalven, Fritz, Die Auswanderer aus dem Fuerstentum Lippe (bis 1877). Page number: 380 Document Type: Immigrant Record Source: Passenger and Immigrations Lists Index I would like to believe that Friedr/Fred/Friedrich Heinrich Anton/Friedrich Stock... as cited above... are all one and the same Fred Stock who married (1) Elizabeth Roach and (2) Sarah Jane Roach. So am open to... and inviting... dialogue re any of the above info and my conclusions. The 1900 census record for Fred Stock (Marshall Co, W Va) indicates that he immigrated in 1869. (The 1910 census does give the year as 1859 but one of these two dates has to be wrong and I found no other Fred Stock/Stuck in the 1859 or 1869 immigration records referred to above.) Elaine
