"Roy" Sadler 1886 - 1933 <http://iagenweb.org/boards/allamakee/obituaries/index.cgi?rev=147789> AUTHOR: Errin Wilker DATE: 2/25/2007 at 10:16:46 Surnames: SADLER,ROBERTS,BEARDMORE PARALYSIS FATAL TO ROY SADLER English Bench Resident Passes On at Home of Brother in Lansing Roy Sadler of English Bench, who has been ill since last October, suffered a paralytic stroke Monday afternoon at 4:30 and died shortly after midnight yesterday (23 May 1933), at the home of his brother, Clifford Sadler, four miles west of Lansing. Mr. Sadler was born on English Bench, August 23, 1886, and would have been 48 years old this summer. He was educated at the English Bench school, was single, and had spent all of his life in Iowa. For about five years he was a mechanic in a garage at Guttenberg. He was a member of the Mount Hope church, from where, he will be buried Thursday at 2:30 p.m., with the Reverend R.L. Van Nice in charge. Surviving Mr. Sadler are a sister, Mrs. Russell Roberts of Lansing; brothers, Wayne and Clifford of Lansing; and Urban of New Albin; and his father, Mr. Joseph Sadler, who is living with the Russell Roberts family at Villy Vally farm near Lansing.
