Lynn G. Groe officiating. Internment will take place at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery, rural New Albin, Iowa. The Schutte Funeral and Cremation Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Jacqueline Helen Lane was born May 4, 1920, to Russell and Barbara (Hahn) Lane, in Dorchester, Iowa. She passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2005, in the Franciscan Skemp Health Care Center in La Crosse, Wis., at age 84. Jackie was baptized in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. She attended the rural schools near her home. During her adult life, she served as a Cub Scout Leader in the Postville Community for a number of years. She was also involved in the Youth Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Jackie enjoyed cooking and baking and loved to attend the various sports activities of her children and grandchildren. Jackie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon. On July 8, 1958, Jackie married Keith Otto Schroeder. They traveled extensively as she followed her husband during his military career. Jackie especially cherished her special relationship with her mother-in-law, Clara, which they maintained over the years. Jackie and Keith have lived in Waukon for the past several years. Survivors include her husband, Keith of Waukon; her children, Cheryl Ash and special friend Bruce Hinkel, both of Waukon, Alan Nyberg of Prairie du Chien, Wis., Kathy (John) Cox and David (Jennifer) Schroeder, all of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Melissa (Gary) Lehmann of Elgin, Iowa, Carey (Jean) Ash of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Troy Hartman of Denver, Colo., Dustin (Diane) Hartman of Des Moines, Shannon Nyberg of McGregor, Iowa, and Amanda Adam of Merced, Calif.; 12 great-grandchildren, Erica, Tonya, and Brianna Lehmann, Emily and Austin Ash, Bryant, Blake, Dawson, and AnnaBell Nyberg, KarilAnn and KaeliBeth Jandra, and...
