Donald Sires, the eighteen month old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Sires, and but flve days ago in the full bloom and vigor of health, now lies cold in death. Little Donald was taken by his grandparents to New Albin on Tuesday of last week, they wishing to have him with them for company. He was taken sick with whooping cough and bronchitis on the trip, and although all that medical skill and tender loving hands could do was done to save the little fellow, all efforts were unavailing, and on Sunday at 3 o'clock the bright little light went out, leaving an aching void in the home. Funeral was held from Mt. Hope church on Tuesday at eleven o'clock, burial taking place in the English Bench cemetery. To the bereaved young parents the sympathy of the entire community goes out in this, their hour of sorrow, also to the aged grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Sires.
