MARY CLAWSON DIES AT MONONA Mary Ora Clawson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Finley, was born July 25, 1905, in Madison county, Iowa, and died Tuesday, May 16, 1933. The family moved to Ion where she grew to womanhood and was married to Lloyd W. Clawson on May 8, 1924. To this union wre born five children, Evelyn, Ive, Virginia, Donald and Maxine. The first home was made near Leroy, Minnesota, later they moved to Waterloo where Mr. Clawson was employed until 1929 when they came to live with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clawson on a farm east of Monona. In March this year, the Lloyd Clawson family rented a farm near Harpers Ferry and it was here Mrs. Clawson was taken sick and passed away before it was realized she was in danger. The death of the mother of five little children is pitiful indeed, and her passing seems almost a tragedy. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Finley, five brothers and five sisters, namely: John, Robert and Wesley of Leroy, Minnesota; Paul of Riceville, Iowa; and Charles of Salem, Iowa; Mrs. Leo Jones of Watervil1e, Iowa; Mrs. Clifford Greenley and Mrs. Lee McEnroe of Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. John Harmon of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Faith at home. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Evangelical church in Monona, Reverend Galloway officiating, with burial in the city cemetery.
