Bellows (b. 1830, d. 29 Sep 1911) and Polly S. Joy (b. 1831 d. 1904). Can anyone confirm that Polly’s maiden name was Joy and that she was born in Chatauqua, NY? Based on census records, I suspect that this family lived in Elkhart County, Indiana before moving to Allamakee County. I have found that Polly’s second marriage was to an Asael EATON on 16 Oct 1887 in Hardin, Allamakee, IA. This is before the death date recorded for William J. Bellows. I could not find William J. Bellows in the 1900 or 1910 census. Is it possible that this death date is incorrect, and William died before Polly’s second marriage?
