She was born December 27, 1889 in Allamakee County to Daniel and Nancy (Duff) Long. She was born March 16, 1915 in Waukon to August Mohwinkle. He died in 1955. Eliza was educated in local schools and was a housewife. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Waukon and of the Ladies' Aid Society. Eliza is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Rozella Hefte of Spring Grove, Minn. and Mrs. Clifford (Dorothy) Burke of Stockton, Ill.; three sons, Alvin of Dorchester and Milton and Dale of Marion, Ia.; 28 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Albert and Wallace; one sister, Edith Reeder; and two sons, Delton and Alton are deceased. Funeral services were held Tuesday, MArch 27, at 1 p.m. in St. Paul's Methodist Church. Rev. Henry Heinbuch officiated, and burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers were all grandsons, Lyle, Brian, Terry, Ralph and Mark Mohwinkle, and LeRoy Burke.
