Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from Martin Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. W.J. Tjaden officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Hope cemetery. Barbara Mary Lane was born on February 21, 1879 in Colorado, a daughter of John and Margaret (Schaffer) Hahn. She had lived most of her life in Allamakee county. She was married in 1902 to Russell Lane in Waukon and, with her husband, had been a resident of Waukon since 1937. Surviving are her husband and the following children: Mrs. John (Vernie) Griffin Sr., Russell Lane Jr., and Jesse Lane, all of Waukon; Mrs. Gale (Florence) Gantenbein of Riverton, WY; Mrs. Raphael (Artis) Teff of Marshville, N.C.; Mrs. Keith (Jacquelyn) Schroeder of Holland, Europe; and Mrs. Gilbert (Faye) Gluck of California. There are 35 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. There is also one sister, Mrs. Roy Sires of Hawkeye, IA.
