Funeral Home with interment at the English Bench cemetery. Mr. Hahn died on May 28, 1965 at New Albin, having been in ill health for the past couple of years. George Earl Hahn was born on December 10, 1897 at Brookings, S.D., a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hahn. The family came to Allamakee counÂty when he was a small child and he has lived here all of the time since. He never married and was employed as a farm laborer. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Russell Lane of Waukon and Mrs. Roy Sires of Hawkeye. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Mrs. Fred (Elizabeth) Smith, Mrs. James (Sarah) Sires, Mrs. Ray (Cora) Bulman, Mrs. Dan (Anna) Sires, and Miss Lillie Hahn; and one brother, Clyde Hahn. The services were conducted by the Rev. Richard L. Beerbower. Pallbearer were Calvin, Robert, Alvin and Ray Sires, and Merle and John Smith. Source: Allamakee Journal ~ 2 June 1965
