Sires, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Louis Niclai, was born March 3, 1884 at Arcadia, Wis. and passed away at the Independence Hospital, Independence, Iowa on Wednesday, September 14, 1960. Death was due to a stroke. The remains were brought to the Burke Funeral Chapel, Lansing and funeral services were held there on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 with the Rev. Clifford Issacson, pastor of the Grace M.E. Church, New Albin, officiating. Burial was in the Arcadia, Wis. cemetery by her first husband, Frank Robinson who preceded her in death in 1943. Casketbearers were Clinton Dee, Leslie Reiser, Leslie Visger, Joe Beardmore, Frank Weymiller and Frank Beardmore. Deceased was twice married. Her first husband, Frank Robinson preceding her in death in 1943. On January 21, 1947 she was united in marriage to James Sires, who with one sister, Mrs. R.C. Turner of Yorba Linda, Calif., are left to mourn her loss. Her only brother, Oscar of California also preceded her in death. Mrs. Sires was an active member of Grace M.E. Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was a woman of excellent character and her untimely passing will be deeply felt by a wide circle of friends. Among those from away who attended the funeral services were, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sires of Hawkeye, la.; Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Sires and Mrs. Martin Rober of Tulare, S.D.; and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Reeder and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bulman of Waukon, la.
