Welper of New Albin was held Monday from Potter-Haugen funeral home at Caledonia, Minn., with the Rev. M.E. DeBuhr officiating. Burial was in the New Albin cemetery. Pallbearers were Armin Luttchens, G.I. Beeler, Leon May, Henry Brunheim, Lawrence Carroll and Raymond Sires. A retired New Albin business man, Mr. Welper died last Friday (June 15, 1962) in the Green Lea Manor rest home at Mabel, Minn. He was born in Union City township April 13, 1878, son of Henry and Ellen (Hagen) Welper, and was married October 28, 1909 to Alvina Welper. She preceded him in death July 1, 1942. The children are Harold Welper of La Crosse, Wis., Mrs. Alvin (Lillian) Sires of New Albin, and Mrs. John (Edna) Hudachko. There are four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
