Kruger, 92, of Waukon, died Sunday, August 19, 1979 at her home. Born August 31, 1886 in Allamakee county, she was a daughter of Jeremiah and Nellie (White) Waterman. She married Benjamin Kruger in December of 1912. He died in 1918. She attended Waukon high school and business college, and was a teacher and a member of the First FunĀdamental Bible church. From 1928 to 1964 she was owner of the Waukon Greenhouse. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jean Johnson of Waukon; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A son, Richard; brothers, Charles and Henry; sister, Verna; and half brothers William Beighle and George Beighle preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Martin funeral home. The Rev. Russ Bode officiated with burial in Oakland. Pallbearers were Scott and Calvin Tjaden, Scott and Chad Johnson, Lee White and Walter Gelo. Source: Waukon Democrat ~ 23 August 1979
