Beardmore, 83, of New Albin, Iowa, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1993, at The Lutheran Home, Caledonia, Minnesota. She was born December 2, 1909, in Winnebago Township, Houston County, Minnesota, to Carl and Martha (Schoh) Meyer. She married Joseph Beardmore on Nov. 8, 1928 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1981. Hilda was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in rural New Albin, and she was active in many senior citizens groups in the New Albin area. She is survived by a daughter, Gladys (Dale) Denstad of Caledonia; three grandsons, Rick (Kaye) Denstad of Brownsville, Terry Denstad of La Crosse, and Gary (Kathryn) Denstad of La Crescent; five great-grandchildren, Joseph, Emily, Carl, Angie and Aaron. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, rural New Albin. Rev. Lawrence Odegard and Rev. Laura Odegard officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Friends called at the New Albin Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
