Five other Allamakee county residents were injured, none critically. All were taken to Memorial Hospital, Waukon. They are; Virgil Welper, 22, son of Mrs. Welper; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Prestamon and Mrs. and Mrs. Kosbau, all of Jefferson township, south of Waukon. Everett Welper, another son, escaped uninjured. The Welpers, with Virgil driving the car, were headed north on the gravel road. The Prestamons and Kosbau, all passengers in the same car, were going south. Prestanon suffered a slight shoulder injury and Mrs. Prestamon suffered a fractured shoulder. Mrs. Welper is also survived by two other sons, one of whom is in the service.
