Howes formerly of French Creek township were brought to Lansing from North Dakota Monday, for interment in the Mt. Hope cemetery in Union City township. She had died at a hospital while undergoing treatment for a complication of ailments. Deceased was a sister of Frank Gerkey of this city, and was 63 years of age, Germany having been her birthplace.
