He was born Dec. 26, 1934 in Caledonia to Armin and Helen (Schuldt) Luttchens. He married Donna Hanke on June 30, 1956 in Brownsville, Minn. He graduated from the School of Agriculture in St. Paul, Minn. and was a lifelong resi­dent of New Albin, where he farmed. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Albin. He is survived by his wife; his mother of New Albin; a son, Neal, of New Albin; a daughter, Sandra, at home; and two grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in St. Peter's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Daniel Jensen officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Haugen-Roble fun­eral home of Caledonia was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Donald Neumann, Karl Krzebietke, Connie Mauss, George Ham­mell, Thomas Bechtel and Leo Whalen.
