Decker 1910-19559 <http://iagenweb.org/boards/allamakee/obituaries/index.cgi?rev=140186> AUTHOR: Diana Henry Die DATE: 1/7/2007 at 13:29:17 Surnames: DECKER,KURTH,MARTI,LEAS,BEALL,RUSH,BELL,WINTRS,DEENEY,BERG Harold Decker’s Funeral Service Will Be Friday Funeral services will be held at Martin funeral home at 1:30 Friday, Oct. 13, for Harold James Decker, who died at the local hospital Tuesday. He had been a patient there for a week, but had been in poor health about a year, suffering with heart trouble. The Friday rites will be continued at 2 p.m., at Rossville Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Mr. William Tjaden officiating. Burial will be in Rossville cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald and Gilbert Kurth, Kenneth Marti, Neal Leas, Carl Beall and Elmer Rush. Decker was born Oct. 2, 1910 in Franklin township, son of George and Anna Bell Decker. He was married Feb. 16, 1932 to Mildred Fish, who remains. The children are: Evelyn, now Mrs. Wesley Winters of Winneshiek county, Robert and Gary Decker of Waukon. There are three grandchildren. Brothers and sisters remaining are Elmer Decker of Waukon; Mrs. Donald (Bernice) Denney, Waukon; Mrs. Fred (Doris) Fish, Waukon; Mrs. Lester (Laura) Fish; Mrs. John (Thelma Berg; and Ernest Decker, all of Luana. Mr. Decker, who had been educated in the local schools, had been a farmer, and had lived in Franklin township all his life.
