Bulman, 71 Memorial services for Martha D. Bulman, 71, who died Saturday morning in a Waukon hospital following a long illness, will be conducted in the Murdoch chapel Monday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Jean P. Hauter. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial cemetery. Born March 31, 1885, in Allamakee county, she was married to Joseph H. Bulman Feb. 5, 1908. They moved to Marion from Waukon in April 1936. Mr. Bulman died at Marion in 1949. Mrs. Bulman sold her residence at 731 Fifth avenue and returned to Waukon to reside two years ago. She was a member of the Mt. Hope Presbyterian church in Allamakee county. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Mildred) Schroeder, and a granddaughter, Diana Sue Schroeder, both of Marian; three brothers, Henry Verthein of Lansing, George Verthein of Caledonia, Minn. and John Verthein of Waukon; and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Bulman of Waukon, Mrs. Alvina Wild of Lansing, Mrs. Gusta Olander of Waterville, and Mrs. Clara Donahue of Cedar Rapids.
