Gary Bailey, no permanent address given, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 1 a.m., according to the Houston County Sheriff's Department. Bailey was riding in a 1976 pickup truck northbound on the highway when the vehicle ran off the road and rolled over several times, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Another person in the car, Greg L. Engelhardt, 23, of Caledonia, was transported to Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse with multiple injuries. A Minnesota State Patrol release said it was not known who was driving the truck. The Allamakee County Sheriff Department and the New Albin Police Department also responded to the accident.
