Baxter 1916 - 2006 <http://iagenweb.org/boards/allamakee/obituaries/index.cgi?rev=141074> AUTHOR: Errin Wilker DATE: 1/14/2007 at 11:40:15 Surnames: BAXTER,KEEFFE,SCHWARTZHOFF,REGAN Charles Baxter, 90, of Webster City died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 at his home in Webster City. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge. Burial of remains will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Waukon. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements. Charles is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Keeffe of White Water, WI and Mrs. Greg Schwartzhoff of Milwaukee, WI; and a brother, Oliver Baxter of Webster City. He is preceded in death by his wife, Celia Schwartzhoff in 1982, and his parents, Frank and Winfred (Regan) Baxter Charles C. Baxter was born March 14, 1916 in Allamakee County. He married Celia Schwartzhoff. Charles later entered the United States Army, serving in Africa during WW II. After his military service, Charles moved to Webster City, where he was a long-time clothier. Source: Waukon Standard
