Werhan, daughter of Wm. and Henrietta Werhan was born in Hanover, Germany, in 1839, and died in Cresco, September 9, 1911. She came to America with her parents in 1849 and settled in Cook Co., Illinois, and resided there three years. Came from there to Iowa and settled at Forest Mills. In 1860 she was married to John Beucher and they resided near Waukon for several years. From there they moved to a farm near Cresco where they lived until the death of her husband three years ago. She leaves to mourn four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Hettie Loughrey, Mrs. Emma Kuntz, Mrs. Nettie Reinhart and John Beucher of Cresco and vicinity; Mrs. Mary Kuntz and Charles Beucher of Cavour, South Dakota; Julius of Culver, Kansas, and Theodore of Waukon, and 18 grandchilden. Two sons preceeded her in death. Mrs. Beucher was a consistent christian and a faithful member of the Methodist church. Cresco Times
