Richards, 54, of Princeton, IL, died Saturday, March 9, 1996 at Perry Memori­al Hospital in Princeton. He was born Aug. 31, 1941 in La Crosse, Wl to Bernet and Gladys (Middendorf) Richards. Jerry served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-1963, and mar­ried Alice Walker Sept. 19, 1964 in Sheridan, IL. He worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company in Aurora. IL, retiring in 1993 after 30 years of employment. Jerry was a member of the United Church of Sandwich and Sandwich Moose Lodge #1016. Surviving are his wife; his mother Gladys Richards of New Albin; one son and his wife, Terry and Barb Richards of Earlville, IL; a daughter and her husband, Denise and Paul Brennan of Sandwich; three brothers and their wives, Dave and Sue and Tom and Shirley, all of New Albin, and Scott and Debbie of Sandwich, and one granddaugh­ter. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 13 at the United Church of Sandwich. Burial was in Sheridan Cemet­ery in Sandwich. Casket bearers were Jerry Schulz, Mike Henn, Jim Wil­helm, Ron Bunch, Brian Emat and Tom Nugent. Honorary bearers were Herb Harney and Mark Abens. Source: Newspaper Clipping
