She was born September 9, 1887 in rural New Albin to Geo. and Caroline (Welper) Middendorf. She married Martin Roeber on Feb­ruary 7, 1912, and they farmed near Tulare, So. Dakota. In 1971 she returned to New Albin to live with her daughter, Mrs. Forrest (Virginia) Sires. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by three grand­children; four great-grandchil­dren; and a brother, Elmer Middendorf of Caledonia, Minn.
